Character Ethic-How can we survive from this world and not to become a wicked person
"People can only experience true success and enduring happiness as they learn and integrate these principles (as the foundation of success, things like integrity, humility, fidelity, temperance, courage, justice, patience, industry, simplicity, modesty, and the Golden rules) into their basic character." --Stephen R. Covey 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People'
"We need a new level, a deeper level of thinking........" as I searching and tumbling in social interaction among this human world, I always feel sick of human society, where I always can not see human in a form of beauty and then feeling frustrated of it, and I do think that is not just me alone thinking so and I am not only one alone on this earth feeling frustration about this.
Comparing teaching from East society and West, I try to translate the terminology every time I read a new phrase in English which as I think I might have read in some books before that was written by any of ancient Chinese scholars, even this quotation that inscribe the quality deeply that we as human should precious about, but which I do think I must have read the sentences meaning like this before...somewhere in a book written in Chinese......it is so interesting to know Socrates/Aristotle and Confucius/Mon-Gi were live in similar era 300b.c. but I bet they definitely don't know each other or having any chance to read each other's book or study the theory.
Character of a person reflects into a person's behaviors, manner, speaking, thoughts..... those principles need build into a person to form his/her character and then will be able to inflare into a person's quality. While we all need to pay our 100% attention on surviving, and all of competition and struggles for surviving has already taken away all our graceful form for being as a human, how much energy we could have left on thinking about the value of the character of a person. But, nevertheless, we can find someone who process this quality of character to cheering about the bright side of this human world.
Through searching, reading, watching, we looking for an idol that process the quality we lack of in ourselves and that we can be admiring it, and be selflessly to giving a positive endorsement to a person that do be able to fostered him or herself with the character that we admiring about.
While we are seeking for an idol to admire to; there is another problem floating over to the surface which is everyone thinking they are qualified for being an idol for the rest of world to admiring with, then the war time would have started since the tension of bettering each other out of competition is so high. All kinds idols are promoted with all different means in market which increases the difficulty of my or our searches in a world that is misty with so many desires.
Can we really be able to be selflessly, non-wicked minded giving a positive endorsement to another person regardless to those "strategic team work for general good" issues?
After all, while we can penetrating all well-trained social skills and all kinds of formations in display of it and understand the value underneath of the layer of it, we then can pursue our happiness.......
